Lisa Lavie is a Canadian born singer and songwriter now living and working in Santa Barbara, California, USA. A native of Montréal, Quebec, Lisa grew up listening to the music of her childhood idol Mariah Carey. Although Lisa never really aspired to be a singing star, at least not initially, it was through an interesting turn of fate that her own professional singing career was launched when she was discovered by the same man credited with discovering Carey, renowned songwriter and record producer Ben Margulies.
